"Magical" Sunday Walk

On Sunday, we went for a walk on a path near our house. Rebekah said this would be a good place to walk because it's surrounded by trees and feels "magical". Silly girl. It was kind of fun though, and we only took 400+ pictures to get a few good ones.

See! The walk was magical. Look at that dirty, cute face.

We spend a lot of time picking up rocks on the side of a bridge to throw into the stream. Kaitlynn actually carried a huge rock down most of the path just to see how big the splash would be.

She is quite the poser. Just point the camera towards her and she will make this very unnatural face. Cute girl.

Kaitlynn was very pleased with the awesome splashes her rocks were making.

If we weren't throwing rocks off the bridge, Kaitlynn was spending time picking all the wildflowers along the path. She was a good enough flower picker that she got most of the roots as well. That takes skill; magical skill.

Magical?

Kaitlynn picked flowers, but Jack found sticks to shoot us with. He smiles the most when he has some kind of makeshift weapon.

Olivia finally got tired of being carried around so she took herself for a walk. She had a hard time staying on the path so we often ended up in the gravel trying to help her find the way back.

This was probably our best picture of the day. It's magical.

Kaitlynn the flower picker and Jack the destroyer coming to kill the flowers with his magical stick.

I suppose the walk made us happy. Sometimes it takes a little magic to accomplish that. Thanks Rebekah.

Here are some pictures

Sorry to all our avid readers (Grandmas). Somehow a month has gone by and I have not posted anything.  Not that we haven't be doing things.  Just been lazy I suppose.  To make up for it here are plenty of picture for your viewing pleasure.  Enjoy.

Cousins came to play a few weeks ago.  Love this one of the three boys together.  Jack was happy to have boys to play with.

Creative brains at work.

Claire trying out Kaitlynns play makeup.

I didn't even have to prompt her to do this face for me.

Uncle Joseph was the best spinner.

Grandpa just had to many to go very fast.

This was the face she gave Connor.  I don't remember exactly what he did to deserve it but he probably did deserve it.

Okay I know she isn't my kid but I can't help posting more pictures of her cute face.

All the grandkids.  Well not anymore.  This picture is already outdated.  Baby Elliot was born two days.

Skip ahead a few weeks.  This is Kaitlynns birthday party.  She was dressed as a princess.  First the kids played duck duck goose.  They didn't much care for it.

Sweaty pretty pretty princess.

Since duck duck goose was a bust we played zoo races.  Kind of made it up on the spot, but the kids liked it.  We would think of an animal then race to the other side walk.  They really liked roaring like tigers.  I believe this is us being Crocodiles in this pic.

Time to run in and open presents.

Opening presents.  She got so much stuff!  I have put away quite a bit of it, save it for a rainy day.

Ryan thought it would be fun to get these blow horns for all the kids.    The kids did think it was pretty great.  I am not so sure about the parents.

I had all the kids eat outside.  Clean up was a breeze.

Its my party and I can cry if I want too.  Oh wait no it wasn't her party. She cried anyway.  Long day.

Playing at a park with Nanny and Papa.

He was making whistle out of dandy lion stems.

 Peek-a-boo!

Olivia loved her Nanny.  Maybe not quite as much as Jack though.  After we dropped them off at the airport Jack immediately started planning his trip out to Nanny's house.  He has a long list of things he will pack, and what we will do at Nanny's house.  Funny boy.  But I will admit I am already looking forward to July too.
