It's a GIRL!

Well I was surprised!  Since we decided not to find out the gender it really was a big surprise to finally meet our little Hannah.  I felt pretty sure we were having a boy, so much for mothers intuition!

The day she was born I was outside talking to my neighbor Nichole and she made the comment that it would be a great day to have a baby.  I agreed but patted my belly and said that it had been pretty quiet in there and I didn't think it was going to happen.  Again my natural mothers intuition shining!  I went to a regular appointment that afternoon and was 3cm dilated.  I wasn't too encouraged by this because I  walked around at a 5 for a week with Olivia.  My midwife was more hopeful than me.  Anyway Ryan had to work and didn't get home until after 11:30 at which point the contractions were finally consistent.  I told him I didn't think he was going to get to go to bed that night... and he didn't.  We went to the hospital and I was indeed in labour.  I had an awesome epidural and she was born at 5:00 in the morning.   Ever since that night we have been working on catching up on sleep, and we couldn't be happier!

Welcome to the family Hannah!

My one and only belly picture.  I insisted Ryan take a picture before we left for the hospital.  He hurriedly snapped the picture and ran out the door.  Pretty sure he was ready to leave me behind.  Last time we barely made it to the hospital in time and he was anxious not to have a repeat experience!

Yay! I was just going to text you to demand pictures on the blog. She is gorgeous, just like all of your other kids. I was explaining to a neighbor the other day about you and Ryan coming from families of (almost) all boys, and now you have a family of almost all girls. Guess you're making up for the previous generation. Love you!
